Walking on the Balat Streets

Strolling through the Jewish neighborhood of Balat Streets in Old City Istanbul. Explore the ancient structures and get a taste of the daily life in the former Jewish settlement. Kuzguncuk, a neighborhood on the Asian shore of Istanbul, is also closely linked to Jewish settlement.

Golden Horn: The location of Byzantium was chosen by the Greek colonists to be Halic, or the Golden Horn. It was handy for maritime activity, both military and commercial, thanks to the natural harbor. It divides Istanbul's European shore in half and is regarded as the greatest natural harbor in the world.

Pierre Loti Hill & Cable Car

Pierre Loti is a well-known peak that offers stunning panoramic views of the Historical Peninsula and the Golden Horn. The cable car ride back down the hill will also be enjoyable. Perched atop the hill is a very excellent bistro. Reaching the ridge where the ideal view of the Golden Horn may be seen leads to the renowned café named for renowned French writer Pierre Loti. Julien Viaud was the real name of Pierre Loti, a longtime resident of Istanbul and true lover of the city. The best spot to observe the aforementioned view is in the old cafe.

Bosphorus Bridge

At 1560 meters, it connects Istanbul's European and Asian shores. The fourth-longest suspension bridge in the world was the Bosphorus Bridge. A rare opportunity to travel between continents in just three minutes. The Intercontinental Istanbul Eurasia Marathon travels over the bridge from Asia to Europe each October. There is no automobile traffic on the bridge during the marathon. Visitors cross the bridge on foot during the "fun run" in October. Many people enjoy the scenery with picnics. The Turkish 1000 lira banknotes from 1978 to 1986 had a picture of the bridge on their reverse side.

Camlica Hill

The Golden Horn's mouth and the picturesque Bosphorus are beautifully visible from Camlica Hill. The public park features fountains, flower beds, and large trees, along with teahouses and restaurants created with historical details. Elevated 268 meters above sea level lies Çamlica hill. Çamlica Hill is situated next to the first suspension bridge on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, inside the boundaries of the Üsküdar district. One of the most popular promenades in Istanbul is Camlica, a location with two hills overlooking the Bosphorus and the Marmara Sea. It's also one of the city's highest and most picturesque spots.

Bosphorus Cruise

Taking a boat on the fabled Bosphorus is one of the greatest ways to experience Istanbul. the magnificent waterway that connects Europe and Asia and passes through Istanbul. The spectacular sites along the Bosphorus' forested coastlines can be seen from your cruise ship, including the Maiden's Tower, the Beylerbeyi Palace, the Rumeli Fortress, the Ciragan Palace, the Dolmabahce Palace, the 19th-century residences of the Ottaman aristocracy, and many more. As the sole route connecting the Black Sea and the Mediterranean through the Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus has always held significant commercial and military value, and its strategic significance endures to this day.

Spice Bazaar

Constructed in 1660, Spice Bazaar offers an abundance of fresh spices, almonds, honeycomb, dried figs, caviar, mature hard Turkish cheese, little presents, and other delicacies. Situated in the Old City district's Eminönü neighborhood, it is the most well-known covered shopping center behind the Grand Bazaar. Several documents imply that the bazaar's original name was "New Bazaar." The structure was given to the New Mosque foundation and was named the "Egyptian Bazaar" (Turkish: Mısır Çarşısı) because it was constructed in 1660 with money from the Ottoman eyalet of Egypt.

I am 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. This shirt fit me perfectly in the chest and shoulders. My only complaint is that it is so long! I like to wear polo shirts untucked. This shirt goes completely past my rear end. If I wore it with ordinary shorts, you probably wouldnt be able to see the shorts at all – completely hidden by the shirt. It needs to be 4 to 5 inches shorter in terms of length to suit me. I have many RL polo shirts, and this one is by far the longest. I dont understand why.

The shirt was not the fabric I believed it to be. It says Classic Fit but was made like the older versions, not the soft cotton like my others. I don’t understand how the labels are the same but a completely different shirt. Oh well, stuck with it now.
